Statue Of Liberty New York Harbor (212) 363-3200 The statue is 151 feet high and stands on a pedestal which is 156 feet in height. It is the tallest statue of the modern world. The base contains the American Museum of Immigration, which traces the history of immigration to the United States. Visitors can climb to the base of the statue (top of the pedestal free, an elevator to the crown' is advertised but is a misnomer.
