This really is a top facility in the North Jersey area. They offer figure skating, youth leagues, youth hockey, family hockey, adult hockey, indoor soccer, private lessons, and birthday parties. Here is an opportunity for some New Jersey Ice Skating with a Manhattan View! Newport Skates is the only outdoor ice skating rink on the Hudson River waterfront. Located in Newport, Jersey City, it is surrounded by numerous restaurants and amazing Manhattan views.
The 7,000 square-foot rink is open during winter months, and season passes are available, as well as skate lessons. Hours are Monday-Friday 4-9 pm, Saturday 11 am-9 pm, and Sunday 11 am-7 pm. Admission is $8 and rentals are available for $7. This is a great idea for a Romantic Date Night!
Mennen Sports Arena

According to their website, the Mennen sports arena gets about 1 million visitors coming through the facility annually! They have public skating every day from 10 AM to 12 PM. Monday through Fridays they have skating from 3:30 PM through 5:30 PM. Friday evenings from 8 PM through 10 PM and lastly on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 PM through 4 PM. Again, remember to check with the Rink before taking the ride.
Richard J. Codey Arena
The Codey arena has two indoor ice rinks. They have winter public sessions on Tuesdays. They also have many different types of hockey programs suited for all ages. Please call ahead to make sure that there are public sessions available on the day you are planning to visit.
Woodbridge Community Center
This really nice indoor rink has been open since 2005. The community center is open seven days a week year-round. Remember to always check their schedule but at the time of this writing, the public skate hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. On Friday nights they have their cosmic skate from 8:30 PM through 10:30 PM. Visitors can rent either figure skating or ice hockey skates.
