Avon by the sea NJ Boardwalk

Photo by Daniel Beards - Avon-by-the-sea is surrounded by three different bodies of water. To the north is Sylvan Lake, the quiet home of their famous swans. The southern border of town is the busy Shark River inlet where you can watch their drawbridges and a parade of boats come and go. They have a very nice non-commercial boardwalk, replete with Victorian lamps, benches and pavilions. Map of Avon, NJ.

Belmar NJ Boardwalk

Belmar NJ has another beautiful non-commercial boardwalk where playgrounds, sitting areas and restrooms are available every few blocks! Belmar's beaches stretch for more than a mile. Their Boardwalk is a wonderful place to walk, jog, people-watch or just relax and enjoy the ocean view. Restaurants are right across the street. They are constantly making improvements to the boardwalk and dunes. Map of Belmar, NJ.

Avalon NJ Boardwalk
The Washingtonian magazine voted Avalon beach the safest beach for swimming out of 30 beaches visited! They also called it "The best beach in New Jersey". The surf is very gentle and the lifeguards are highly trained and alert. The small boardwalk has a few shops on it and is very nice and clean. Map of Avalon, NJ.

Bradley Beach NJ Boardwalk

Bradley Beach has a very nice sized Boardwalk with a couple of small eateries on it where you can get breakfast or lunch. A great boardwalk for a morning jog. There are plenty of benches lined all up and down the boardwalk to relax and people watch on. Bradley is a very nice quiet beach. Map of Bradley Beach, NJ.

Cape May NJ Boardwalk

Cape May has a very quaint and quiet Boardwalk. This is a view of a boardwalk entrance onto Broadway Beach. While not in the ocean or on the beach, visitors can spend time in Cape May exploring nature trails, whale and dolphin watching, taking house or ghost tours, fishing, antiquing. eating at fine romantic restaurants, or visiting beautiful art galleries. Island Heights NJ Boardwalk
Island Heights may be one of best unknown beaches down the Shore. Nestled along the banks of the Toms River, with quiet streets, a picturesque waterfront, and extraordinary Victorian architecture. A waterfront walk affords a leisurely half-mile stroll along the banks and a large pavilion awaits those who would like to get out the sun and watch the river activity. Map of Island Heights, NJ

Lavallette NJ Boardwalk

Lavallette is near Seaside Heights New Jersey. Lavallette has a very nice clean boardwalk. A cool pavilion is pictured here where visitors can sit in the shade and relax. The beaches are very clean in Lavallette. There are a few nice playgrounds on Bay Boulevard and some cool Crabbing docks are located at Bay Blvd & Magee Ave. Map of Lavallette, NJ.

Long Branch NJ Boardwalk

Photo by Daniel Beards - Long Branch is one of the largest cities on the Jersey Shore. Although Long Branch is somewhat enjoying a rebirth, not much of it's former elegance remains. The boardwalk still attracts crowds to the beachfront at night. A stretch of the wooden boardwalk has been replaced by a very nice cement promenade. Map of Long Branch, NJ.

Manasquan NJ Boardwalk

Manasquan has the only beach dedicated to the handicapped in the Jersey Shore area. Pictured above is a cool cement promenade that has restaurants and little shops on them. Map of Manasquan, NJ.

Ocean Gate NJ Boardwalk

Ocean Gate is a very nice little shore town in New Jersey. It is located directly across the Barnegat Bay from Island Heights. There are cool piers that protrude into the bay as well as a boardwalk promenade. A very nice dinner can be had at the Ocean Gate House restaurant on Monmouth Ave in Ocean Gate NJ. Ocean Grove NJ Boardwalk

If you love sunny days at the beach, quiet leisurely walks on the boardwalk, old-fashioned ice cream parlors, parades, antique stores, and live shows then Ocean Grove is for you! After you stroll on the pier and the boardwalk, you can find a day full of quaint shopping along Main Avenue! Map of Ocean Grove

Ortley Beach NJ Boardwalk

Ortley Beach is right next to Seaside Height NJ. They have a stretch of non-commercial boardwalk along the surfline. A very cool spot is Joey Harrison's surf Club, where you can drink beers with waiter service right on the beach. Ortley is much quieter that its Seaside counterpart. Map of Ortley Beach, NJ.

Sea Bright NJ Boardwalk

Sea Girt NJ Boardwalk

Photo by Daniel Beards - Sea Girt boasts a very nice stretch of Boardwalk with benches. Sea Girt is home to the Sea Girt Lighthouse which is located at Ocean Avenue and Beacon Boulevard. The lighthouse is one of only 20 lighthouses in the state of New Jersey that remain in existence. Map of Sea Girt, NJ.

Sea Isle City NJ Boardwalk

Sea Isle City has a non-commercial Boardwalk. The Sea and Sand Family Vacationland has 5 miles of uncrowded beaches surrounded by the sea and immense natural beauty. The small island offers opportunities year round for you and your family to enjoy a getaway. Map of Sea Isle City.

Seaside Park NJ Boardwalk

This almost two-mile-long beach has a small section of boardwalk to the north devoted to games, food operators and all-around family fun. Dunes covered with tall grass line the entire oceanfront, which is mostly residential & is south of the boardwalk activity. Map of Seaside Park, NJ

Spring Lake NJ Boardwalk

Ventnor NJ Boardwalk

Ventnor City is a beautiful little shore town located near Atlantic City New Jersey. In the latter part of the 19th Century, an American couple visiting England became so impressed with the beauty of the locality, that in 1889, when the Camden and Atlantic Land Company decided to name the section of the land south of Atlantic City, they remembered Ventnor, England.
