Fun New Jersey
The New Jersey Children's Museum had over thirty different exhibits, in a 15,000 foot facility. The Museum was a hands on interactive play place geared towards preschoolers and early learners that operated for more than two decades. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the museum had to close its doors for good on September 1, 2014.

Young children are often cautioned not to touch things when they're out and about. However, that rule went out the window at the New Jersey Children's Museum in Paramus, where kids were encouraged to touch EVERYTHING! This fun filled museum catered to toddlers, preschoolers and early learners, and contained over thirty different play areas in a 15,000 sq. ft. area. Children always loved playing "Grown up" in the grocery store area that was sized just for them, and pretended to be ballerinas in the dance area, complete with little tutus they could wear.

Kids were excited to climb aboard a real fire engine and helicopter or see themselves on a monitor when they pretended to be news anchors and meteorologists on TV. Among the many different educational hands on play themes, was a really cool hospital setting, where youngsters could get a better idea of how x-rays work and where they could find out a bit about disabilities that some people have.

Other areas allowed children to explore a prehistoric cave, make believe they were in the Wild West, or even in a fantasy castle. Busy little hands could also build and play in the architecture and construction area as well as have fun in the sandbox and with the sand funnel. As you could imagine, this was only a tiny peek at all of the fun activities available. The best way to find out more, was to bring your family to the New Jersey Children's Museum and experience it for yourself. The kids would have a ball, and adults would enjoy the experience as well!

Birthday Parties at the New Jersey Children's Museum

For a new adventure, you could, at one time, enjoy having your child's birthday party at this facility. Themes such as "Animals Party," "Princess Party" and "Dinosaur Party" were available. The Birthday Room would be yours to use for an hour, and then the party-goers would have the opportunity to explore the museum.

Day Care and school groups

Day Care and school groups (first grade and under) were always welcomed, but reservations were necessary and adequate supervision was imperative (bring one adult supervisor per four children).
