The Newark YMCA offers a variety of excellent educational and recreational summer day camp programs for children of all ages. Children who join the Newark YMCA's summer camp build strong friendships with fellow campers and rewarding connections with caring mentors all while partaking in exciting opportunities and unparalleled sports programs. The YMCA summer camp helps build the community through their core values of care, honesty, respect and responsibility. Campers develop confidence, a strong sense of self and respect, all while participating in fun activities.
Campers participate in a wide variety of activities including swimming, arts and crafts, sports, physical fitness activities and group games. There will also be off-site excursions to museums, shows, playgrounds and cultural events. Outdoor activities, which take place at the YMCA Camp Linwood MacDonald, located on 200 acres, range from ziplining to ropes courses, hiking, survival courses, archery and much more. Camps run weekly from late-June to mid-August.
