The New Jersey Audubon has partnered with the Lorrimer Sanctuary to host the 2016 Lorrimer Nature Day Camps in Bergen County NJ. This unique day camp experience was created out of the need to foster environmental awareness and appreciation for the natural world. When children learn about and appreciate nature at a young age, the need to preserve the environment stays with them for life. Camps are broken into different age groups to ensure children participate in age- appropriate lesson and activities. All camp sessions are taught by trained and experienced environmental educators who are dedicated to their field of study. Sessions are broken up as follows: Tadpole Camp for ages 4 - 6, Junior Naturalists for ages 7 - 11, Fishing Camp for ages 8 - 12 and Reptile and Amphibian Camp for ages 8 - 12.
