Valentina draws great inspiration from her grandmother who used to provide homemade skin care products to local residents of the Ukrainian village of Kharkov, where she grew up. After immigrating to the US in 1991, Valentina began working odd jobs to support her family, all the while building on her aesthetic skills by enrolling in beauty academies. She opened the Aquatica Salon & Day Spa in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, in 2001. Spurred by its success, she next opened Aquamedica Salon & Day Spa in Long Branch in 2006.
Valentina believes in reaching out and making a real difference in people's lives. Once a year, her spa is closed and free services are provided to breast cancer patients and survivors. Valentina's mother had the disease and she understands how emotionally distressing it can be. She uses her spa as a nurturing and healing venue for women.
