The Warren County Farmers?Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival County Rt. 519 (3 miles north of Phillipsburg NJ) - Map 908-454-3431 July 31st 2011 through August 6th 2011 The Fair provides families with affordable admission, quality food at a reasonable price. Make some noise with an antique tractor parade, carnival rides or nightly action in the Main Arena, including demolition derbies and Mud Bog. In addition to a true county fair, the event hosts a Hot Air Balloon Festival. Each evening witness a bevy of hot air balloons rise from green grass to blue sky in a mass hot air balloon launch. Many fun things to do! Other highlights of the Fair include a traditional arts expo, 4-H & FFA exhibits and competitions and the Kids?Corral where children can enjoy making a variety of crafts, enjoy a clown show, join in some contests for prizes and more, all free of charge. The Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is held every year in July at the Solberg Airport in Readington NJ. There is  live musical entertainment, children's entertainment, food and drink, interactive exhibits and many different attractions . There is usually about 125 balloons filling the sky. It is the largest and most popular ballooning event in the United States. Twice a day there is an old-time air show and group parachute jump. Don't miss the spectacular fireworks display. At night there is a "light bulb" show when all the balloons inflate and light up casting an eerie light in the night sky to thrill the crowds. For the littlest ones there is a special area with a petting zoo and many  games. For those who want to ride the balloons, you have to reserve early because they go fast. For more info click here.
