Sea Life Museum Marine Stranding center Brigantine NJ 609-266-0538 See marine animals up close. The Center has responded to over 2500 strandings of whales, dolphins, seals and sea turtles that have washed ashore over the years. Whenever possible, the animals are brought back to the MMSC for rehabilitation and eventual release. Rehabilitation can last up to several months and cost thousands of dollars for a single animal. It is still in use today, and is the nation's oldest lighthouse. The Park is open daily, sunrise to sunset and is Free. Unfortunately you must pay the Sandy Hook beach parking fees during the summer.

The Presby Memorial Iris Gardens Mountainside park - Upper Montclair NJ Hilly terrain and wonderous homes are the setting for this beautiful park. See over 4,000 varieties of Irisis. Because of its stunning visual and historical appeal, the "Iris Gardens" has been designated a National Historic Site. The Grover Cleveland Birthplace 207 Bloomfield Avenue Caldwell, NJ 973-226-0001 This site houses the most complete collection of Cleveland artifacts in the nation; including the president’s cradle, White House chair, clothing and fishing gear among many others. Open Wednesday - Sunday Visitors are encouraged to call ahead for site hours. Reservations for groups of 20 or less not needed, but recommended. Admission : Free
Fort Lee Historic Park and Visitor Center Hudson Terrace Fort Lee, New Jersey 201 461-1776 The Visitor Center is open Wednesday – Sunday, 10 am – 5 pm. The Visitor Center is at the heart of the Historic Park, providing information on the role of Fort Lee in the American Revolution. Two floors of displays present the story of how General Washington was forced to evacuate the area in November of 1776 and lead his famous “Retreat to Victory” across New Jersey at the end of 1776. Construction of the eleven-thousand square-foot building began in 1974 and was completed for the American Bicentennial celebration in 1976. In addition to its historical features, the facility contains a 164-seat auditorium, a gift shop, restrooms, drinking fountain, public phone, and information desk. Admission is Free
Fort Lee Museum - Judge Moore House 1588 Palisade Avenue Fort Lee, NJ 201-592-3580 Very nice Museum that sits atop the very land that served as an encampment for our troops, by order of General George Washington, during the Revolutionary War. Art is on display as well as many cool Revolutionary artifacts.
