"Lets make wine together" A Little Taste of Purple, located in Fairfield, NJ is dedicated to giving you an outstanding winemaking experience. They've been in the wine making business in Essex County for over 8 years and have grown from just a few barrels to over 250 barrels! Gather friends or your relatives and come out to make your own barrel of wine.
The first stages of the winemaking process happen from September through November and wines are ready to be picked up and enjoyed in June. The first step is to choose the wine you want to make from over 25 different varieties. After you choose, a refrigerated wine truck brings the freshly harvested grapes from California. Once delivered you will use professional winemaking equipment to de-stem and crush the grapes. Seven to ten days later you will press your crushed grapes and pump the wine into American Oak barrels where it will age and develop. A few months later the wine is racked and the sediment is removed. Finally, several months later you will bottle, cork, cap and of course enjoy your handmade wine!
