Charles Daidone was born on April 1, 1965, in Manhattan, New York, and grew up in the Bronx before making New Jersey his beloved home in Jamesburg. He was the son of the late Anthony and Carol Ann Daidone.
With an entrepreneur's heart and a boundless love for his adopted state, Charles built FunNewJersey.com into the Garden State's most trusted guide for things to do, places to explore, and family memories to make. His vision was both simple and powerful: help every New Jersey resident and visitor discover the joy right in their own backyard.
For over two decades, his work connected thousands of families to parks, beaches, restaurants, events, and hidden gems spanning all 21 counties — from the Palisades to Cape May, from the Pine Barrens to the Jersey Shore boardwalks.
Charles passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at the age of 60. He leaves behind a community of people who found joy, wonder, and togetherness because of what he so lovingly created.
