Ice-T (Tracy Lauren Marrow)
Ice-T was born in Newark NJ and grew up in Summit. He had a really tough childhood. He became an orphan after losing both of his parents from heart attacks at a very young age.
Ice T used to run around stealing bikes and struggling in the streets.
He moved to the Crenshaw district of LA where he continued to survive in the streets by selling stolen items, drugs and peddling.
He wanted to get out of this tough life and he did.
Ice T became a musician, rapper, songwriter, an actor and ultimately a famous star who never forgot his roots from right here in NJ. He flourished for years as a detective on the show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Why are we shining the light on him?
Because he put all of his energy into his craft and overcame the odds to become a truly loving personality who now stays out of trouble.
