LBI is only a quarter mile wide, so visitors can take advantage of the ocean and the bay without wandering too far off.
Beach Haven is the only town in LBI with an amusement park and a water park, so families with children should consider staying in this town for the weekend. Fantasy Island Amusement Park offers rides, games and arcade amusements for all ages – we recommend the Himalaya and the Pirate Ship. Hartland Gold and Arcade provides a fun escape to enjoy crisp competition with family and friends.
On a very hot day, head over to Thundering Surf Water Park, offering water slides, a lazy river, wave pool, toddler zone, cabana rentals and mini golf. The park even has an infant pool, so the little ones can be in one area, cooling off and making friends.
The lack of a boardwalk in LBI is not a disadvantage - tourists and locals should head to this unspoiled Shore Town to take advantage of the most beautiful, untouched beaches on the Eastern Seaboard.
Rent a kayak, jet ski or Stand-up paddleboard from Route 72 Waverunner and explore some unchartered waters and take in all the beauty of this hidden NJ Shore Town. It’s a getaway that will be filled with a ton of adventure!
The 18-mile strip is also filled with hundreds of amazing boutiques and fine restaurants including the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop, Wink Boutique, The Chicken or the Egg, Gazebo Grill and Bar, and so much more. Dining out isn’t a drag when you can go out to eat so much and won’t even repeat restaurants.
