Hilly terrain and wondrous homes are the setting for this beautiful park. See over 4,000 varieties of Irisis. Because of its stunning visual and historical appeal, the "Iris Gardens" has been designated a National Historic Site. It is also often referred to as the "rainbow on the hill" due to its colorful appearance granted by the irises. The park is organized by the nonprofit Citizens Committee who work regularly to preserve and restore the great iris collection. The best time to view most in bloom is late May into June. Come by to see all the beautiful different varieties before the season ends!
