Originally founded in New York City as "The Russian School of Ballet," the Serova School of Dance has been training young girls and boys to be talented dancers since 1917. Famous Russian ballerina Madame Sonia Serova founded the dance studio because she loved children and believed a life of dance education should be started early.
In 1954, her daughter Cynthia Serova moved the studio to Somerville, NJ and created the Serova School of Dance. Dancers as young as 2 1/2 are invited to the Serova School of Dance to learn ballet, pointe, tap jazz, lyrical, modern, tumbling, contemporary and hip hop. They offer dance classes for all ages and skill levels. Baby Ballet is a warm, nurturing introduction to dance for toddlers. Pre-Ballet builds confidence, grace, balance and poise for students five and younger. There are various levels of dance classes for children, teens and even adults as they progress through their chosen discipline. Visit their website to see all dance class offerings.
