Barnegat Lighthouse State Park is one of the oldest parts of New Jersey history! Come out for the day to explore and learn about a 32-acre park, a historic lighthouse and a part of New Jersey history all in one! Barnegat Lighthouse State Park offers ocean-side and inland trails where you will gaze out at a beautiful ocean view and discover dozens of birds and animals native to this part of the Garden State. The park also offers fishing and picnicking, a great way to spend the day with your family!
You can't leave the park without exploring the monumental Barnegat Lighthouse! Climb to the top of the lighthouse and see a 360-degree view of Island Beach, Barnegat Bay and Long Beach Island! After you discover the architecture of the lighthouse, walk over to the Interpretive Center to learn all about its unique 150 year history! The lighthouse is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
