Recess Theatre, established in 2016, is a professional theatre and performing arts studio. Their professional mainstage produces original, classic and contemporary works with a focus on the universal human experience. They strive to bring diverse and non-traditional stories to the community in order to explore the fundamental commonalities between all peoples.
Besides their mainstage events, Recess Theatre offers a variety of classes, workshops and camp opportunities for children to dive into the performing arts community. Sign your child up for an exciting theatre adventure this summer! Their teachers work alongside students to build ensembles and collaborate on short performances. Students will work on original scripts, sing show-stopping hits, work with scenery and props and test their acting skills – Recess Theatre has something for every camper! Summer camps are 2-week intensives, with morning and afternoon sessions available. Each session has a specific focus so that each student can explore their interests and showcase their skills.
