Perkins Center’s full day Summer Arts & Eco Camp provides a fun, nurturing environment for budding artists while enhancing understanding and appreciation of the natural world that encircles them. Working from their imaginations and led by professional teaching artists, campers (ages 4 1/2 - 10) will develop ideas into paintings, sculptures, songs and dances while in the Eco-Studio campers will learn about nature. Environmental activities will include maintaining and harvesting a vegetable garden, up-cycled art and more. These projects are designed to make connections between art and the environment and will present campers with the opportunity to make a difference in their ecological impact on the world. Field trips to museums and environmental centers further enhance the art & eco camp experience.
The Summer Arts & Eco Camp is offered in four varied, two-week sessions from June 29 - August 21. Extended care is available for an additional fee.
