During the winter months when several inches of snow covers the ground and the kids are home from school, Thompson Park in Jamesburg, New Jersey, transforms into a winter wonderland! The 675 acre public park is open for many winter activities, including tubing, sledding, snow shoeing and more! Winter activities at Thompson Park are deemed at your own risk and you must bring and provide all tubing/sledding/snow equipment. A designated sled hill near Grove 4 Picnic Area is where children and families can bring their recreational snow equipment and spend the day gliding and sliding down the steepest hills. If you do not have a sled or tub, try a DIY alternative like a plastic garbage can top or break out your pool flotation devices! There are many fun ways to enjoy a snow day at Thompson Park!
