They have the opportunity to learn about about farming and farm life during the 1890-1910 time period. These programs are hands-on and provide experiences as well as information that your whole family will love. The animals at Howell Farm represent the types that have been raised at various periods in history. Several grains are grown each year. The annual wheat harvest, one of the most colorful events at the farm, is in July. All of the 45 acres are farmed using tools and techniques representative of the history of the farm. You will have the chance to ask people, who are dressed according to the time period, any questions you may have.
