Newark Moonlight Cinema brings the outdoor drive-in theater experience to northern NJ!
Located right within downtown Newark, the theater was created by filmmaker and Ayana Stafford and real estate developer Siree Morris.
The films shown at the theater are selected to highlight African American filmmakers, actors, and actresses.
There is nostalgia in more than just the old drive-in feeling. The theater shows old films, cult classics, and even recent releases!
Like most drive-in theaters, Newark Moonlight Cinema is only open seasonally. For the 2021, the theater will run Wednesday through Sunday from July 24, 2021 until October 31, 2021.
