Clary Anderson Arena is a Northern NJ ice skating rink that offers numerous ice skating lessons and fun for the whole family! We have open hockey times on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:15 until 2:15 in the afternoon. All players who participate in open hockey must be 18 or older, wear full equipment and abide by the open hockey rules and guidelines.
In addition to our open hockey sessions, we also offer public skate sessions where skaters of any skill level can come and enjoy the rink. If you do not know how to ice skate but wish to learn, our ice skating rink can provide you with lessons. For those children who are OBSESSED with ice skating, we can host your next birthday party at our ice skating rink.
Floyd Hall Arena opened in March of 1998 with one goal in mind, to create a wholesome activity for children and their families. The arena's founder was dedicated to providing low-cost, family-oriented entertainment for Little Falls NJ and the surrounding communities. The NHL-size ice skating rinks are open year-round, seven days a week for public open skate sessions, figure skating, and ice hockey leagues for kids and adults. Protec Ponds Ice Center is the premier ice hockey training facility in Somerset County NJ. The facility provides a variety of programs and leagues for aspiring and experienced ice hockey players. If your child is interested in playing hockey, but has never stepped on an ice rink before, start out with the Learn to Skate program. Once they've mastered the skill, your budding star can move up to the 10-week Learn to Play Hockey program where they will learn all of the basics of the sport including skating skills, stick handling, passing and shooting. The Learn to Play Hockey program is geared towards kids ages 4 - 13 years old and students move up each semester based on their age and skill level. Advanced players can join the 3v3 League and any of their clinics including Fusion Goalie, Stick Handling and Power Skating, Body Contact, Superskillz and adult leagues. Twin Oaks Ice Rink is available for a variety of programs, camps, clinics and leagues. For younger hockey enthusiasts, Twin Oaks Ice Rink offers learn-to-skate programs over the course of 8 or 9 sessions. Kids will learn balance, how to stand and even the proper way to fall, as well as edge control, forward and backward skating, turns and stopping. Required equipment includes ice skates, helmet and gloves. Once kids have mastered ice skating, they can join any of the clinics, camps, open hockey or leagues available at the ice rink, each designed to teach the necessary skills so kids can enjoy playing hockey at a higher level. Adults needing to improve their skills for the minor/major leagues or just looking for a place to practice can come down to Twice Oaks Ice Rink during the open hockey hours - visit the website as hours change per season.
