A 10-part Credit Repair Guide |
Re-disputing items on Credit Reports If you've sent out the credit repair letters and your credit bureaus still won't remove the requested negative items from your credit report, the next step is to re-dispute those items. Just because they've rejected your disputes, doesn't mean you should lose hope. Repeat steps 5-8 until they finally agree to remove the negative items. Persistence is the key.
Devise a new strategy. If possible, come up with more evidence to support your claim. As long as that item is legitimately inaccurate, there should be a way to get it removed from your record. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, there is no limit to the amount of disputes you can send to the credit bureaus.
The length of time it takes to rectify your credit report depends upon the conditions of your report. How extreme are those negative items? Are you trying to get bankruptcies or judgments removed?
If you sign up for Best Legal Credit Repair, the credit counselors will be heavily persistent in getting items removed from your credit reports. With over 15 years of experience in the credit industry, the professionals will most likely be able to find a good strategy to fix bad credit and improve your credit score. Even a specific item isn't removed within the first 30 days; it will probably be removed throughout the course of your 4-8-month credit repair program.
