Come party like it's 1699 at the New Jersey Pirates and Privateers Weekend June 8th and 9th at the Ocean County Fairgrounds at Robert J. Miller Air Park, 101 Airport Road, Berkeley Township, NJ. This is a joint presentation by the County of Ocean and Bloody Historical, to bring you living history like you've never seen it before. Demonstrations of life in the 18th century will go on all day, along with cannon and small arms fire, music, pirate skits and sword fighting; entertainment for the wee pirates including song, scavenger and treasure hunts, games and storytelling and Jack Sparrow!
An epic battle is scheduled in the early afternoon that pits the Privateers (Pirate hunters) against the Pirates and includes cannon fire, small arms fire, sword fighting and the attempted burning down of the Customs House! A portion of the proceeds from the Weekend will go to the Ocean County Parks System so devastated by Hurricane Sandy.
Tickets are available right now by going to www.bloodyhistorical.us/ tickets are $15.00 for a two day pass, $8.00 for a single day pass for kids ages 5 to 12 (16.00 for a two day pass), and we are offering a four pack of tickets 2 adult and 2 children for 35.00. These tickets are only available online and in advance one day passes ONLY will be sold at the gate for $15.00. Children under 5 are free!

Tropical food and drinks will be featured at the event, a benefit for FOSRAS, a non-profit, volunteer group that supports the Bridgewater-based animal shelter. There will be a best dressed dog contest and a basket auction.
