Wildwood Classic Car Auction Car Shows in Southern Shore Region NJ Wildwood’s annual Classic Car Auction will be taking place the weekend of September 18th. People can come and admire all of the old, antique and muscle cars that the owners will later be auctioning off. Spectators will have a chance to bid on their favorite cars, buy memorabilia, search for collectables and of course try to take home a new toy for the garage. On Thursday there will be a preview of the cars, a chance to see what is up for sale. Friday and Saturday will be the days of bidding and purchase.

The event will take place at The Wildwoods Convention Center with free admission given to spectators.

The artists are local college and university students who share a passion for art and decided to take the tea themed workshop that Peters Valley offered the third week of August. The exhibit will allow onlookers to examine each artist’s creation, try to determine why the tea set was designed that way and, ultimately learn something, or, many things, about the creative process and tea.

Junior Achievement Fun Run %ks in Middlesex and Camden County NJ Road Runner Sports will be sponsoring the Junior Achievement’s Financially Fit Fun Run/Walk on September 27th with locations in both Middlesex and Camden County, New Jersey. This event is for the whole family, meant to be fun and has no chip timing. On race day, the Rod Runner store and booths will open at 7:30 am with check-in for the race beginning at 8 am. At check-in participants will be told where they can leave their personal belongings and be given their race day t-shirt. There will be a short welcome starting at 8:50 am followed by the race at 9 am. Following the completion of the race, which only lasts for a maximum of two hours, will be closing remarks and an award ceremony. Everyone who takes part in the race will be running or walking as a means of raising awareness of, and empowering, New Jersian’s ability to achieve economic success.

Syracuse is the 14th-winningest program in college football. Syracuse has 22 bowl game appearances and has earned invitations to all four Bowl Championship Series Bowl games. With 17 former players and coaches in the College Football Hall of Fame, Syracuse is one of seven schools with that many representatives. Syracuse has six representatives in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, one of eight schools with at least six alums enshrined.

Winding River Campground Camping in Atlantic County NJ Occurring every other Sunday throughout the year, St. Rocco Flea Market will again be open on September 28th. Here people will be given the chance to either become a vendor and sell some of their items or simply walk around and find treasures of their own to purchase. The flea market is located at St. Rocco Social Center, an indoor venue, where guests will have the feel of the more common outdoor flea markets, without having to brave the weather occurrences. Everything from clothing to toys to food is sold at the market and people are welcome anytime between 10 am and 3 pm.

The flea market is free of charge and open every other Sunday March 30, 2014 through the end of the year.

American Repertory Ballet Dance Events in Central NJ American Repertory Ballet will be returning to Rider University for an evening of narrative performances. The Edwin B. Forsythe Bird Refuge, a wildlife sanctuary in Oceanville, New Jersey will be hosting a bird walk on October 3rd where participants can enjoy a leisurely walk looking for various birds. Park Ranger Don Freiday will guide guests on this two hour, one mile walk, guiding everyone through the refuge and teaching them about the animals spotted. He will be able to answer people’s questions, demonstrate the proper techniques needed in order to be a skilled bird watcher and educate people on both New Jersey native and non-native birds spotted. The bird walk is free of charge, is approximately two hours (8-10 am) and the starting point will be the entrance to the visitors center.

Dialogue will encompass the civil rights movement, historic context of quilts in the rural environment as well as the stories behind individual artist's quilts. Although materials and techniques of quilt making may be common, quilts- as process, as art, and as image—embody the very fabric of our country. Onlookers will be given the chance to see beautifully handcrafted pieces of work, speak with the artists and maybe even purchase their favorite piece. The event will happen rain or shine and there is no admittance fee.

Adventures in Reading looks to bring nature lovers and reading together in an interactive way. StoryWalk is an interactive exhibit which is entirely outdoors and makes reading an exciting adventure by combining it with the much loved activity of hiking. People are encouraged to read nature themed stories as they roam the woods, thus fusing fiction with reality. Hikers of all ages can take part in this free activity the stories can be previewed by registering for the Nature Story Time program.

For only $155, Master Carver Jode Hillman will be teaching participants how to correctly carve and decorate Delaware River style wigeon decoys. The two day class will be led by Hillman, who will demonstrate the proper methods people will need to know if they wish to create realistic looking wigeons. The cost of materials is included in the price of this class.

Macculloch Hall outdoor events in nj “Growing in the Garden” is a hands-on art program for 3 - 5 year olds and their caregivers using natural resources found in the Museum’s garden. Tuesday, October 21st 1:15 – 2 pm or 3:45 – 4:30 pm.

3 – 5 year olds and their caregivers can hear a story and walk in the garden to collect autumn leaves in all their shapes, sizes, and colors. After studying leaf symmetry, children will use drawings to create a leaf collage to take home.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Pre-register by phone at 973-538-2404 ext. 16 or by email cwinslow@maccullochhall.org. The cost for each program is $12 per pair for non-members and $8 per pair for members. Quiet Events East Village Party activities by NJ Quiet Clubbing will be TURNING DOWN FOR WHAT at the M. White Bar every Friday night in September and October. The East Village will be rocked by music, dance and nights of ultimate clubbing adventure.

The hotspot for clubbing, M. White Bar, is a popular location near NYU. Our events at this bar will have you dancing, partying and having a good time for the entire night. You will find DJ 1 (blue) on culture reggae, dancehall reggae, soca, hip hop and R&B while DJ 2 (red) will be hitting the floor with EDM hits. To close out the night, DJ 3 (green) will be hitting the top 40 hits and throwbacks. Drink specials include beer, well drinks, draft bottles and shots. You must be 21 or over to attend these nights of clubbing.

Hilltop School's art exhibit will be held on October 2th through the 26th at 6:30 pm. The exhibit and sale will feature over 50 artists from the Northern New Jersey and surrounding states. The art featured will be photography, painting, jewelry, ceramics and more! With 2014 marking the 37th year of the exhibit's run, the Hilltop Country Day School will also be hosting a food and wine tasting with the help of local restaurants and wineries.

Susquehanna Mine trains located at Delaware River Railroad Excursions, offers train rides and digging adventures for the whole family. Working in groups, people will be allowed to explore the original mine shaft, take tours and partake in gemstone panning. One person in each group will be given the opportunity to “blow the mine” which will give everyone a chance to find stones such as rubies and crystals. Tickets for adults are $21 while children’s tickets are $13. The train runs on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) at 11, 12:30, 2 and 3:30.
